## BetMGM Casino vs DraftKings Casino: the key differences

[BetMGM Casino](https://safebet.ai/us/online-casinos/betmgm-casino-review/) is #1 in [our ranking of the best online casinos in the US](https://safebet.ai/us/online-casinos/) and [DraftKings Casino](https://safebet.ai/us/online-casinos/draftkings-casino-review/) is #3. Both have big libraries with exclusive games, and both are licensed in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The main differences:

- **Games:** BetMGM offers over 7,000 titles across North America and 2,000 to 3,300+ per state, against roughly 2,000 to 2,500 at DraftKings.
- **Rewards:** BetMGM points convert to MGM Rewards for hotel stays and dining; DraftKings' Crowns are spent in its own Dynasty Store.
- **Payouts:** BetMGM reviews every withdrawal for up to five business days, while RotoWire reports DraftKings debit withdrawals within 24 hours.
- **Welcome offer:** DraftKings' needs $5 in wagers and has no rollover on spin winnings; BetMGM's needs a $10 deposit (September 30, 2026).
- **Connecticut:** only DraftKings is licensed there.

Either way, you must be 21 or older and physically in a state where the casino is licensed, which geolocation checks before you play. If you're anywhere else, neither is a legal option, and you shouldn't use a VPN to get around the check. See [where online casinos are legal](https://safebet.ai/us/online-casinos/where-online-casinos-are-legal/) for every state.

## Games

BetMGM Casino has the bigger library, while DraftKings Casino makes more of its own games.

BetMGM says it offers over 7,000 titles across North America, with fewer in each state: from over 2,000 in West Virginia to more than 3,300 in New Jersey, according to its own pages, which don't always agree. It runs 25+ exclusive progressive jackpots, including MGM Grand Millions and Bison Fury, and paid out $122.1 million in progressive jackpots in 2025. Recent exclusive or first-to-market titles include Rakin' Bacon and The Traitors: Faithful Riches.

DraftKings' in-house studio produced 36% of its casino handle in 2025, with games such as Rainforest Fortune, Day Trader and Basketball Roulette. Its jackpot network, shared with Golden Nugget, has paid a $22 million jackpot, which DraftKings calls the largest online jackpot in history.

If you mostly play live dealer games or video poker, reviewers favor DraftKings: Action Network says BetMGM's live-dealer range is smaller than DraftKings', and BettingUSA ranks DraftKings first for video poker.

## Bonuses

We rate the two welcome offers equally, but they suit different players. As of September 30, 2026:

| Offer detail | BetMGM Casino | DraftKings Casino |
|---|---|---|
| To qualify | First deposit of $10 or more | Opt in and wager $5 |
| Spins | 100 a day for 10 days | 50 a day for 20 days |
| Spin winnings | 10x wagering within 3 days | No rollover, per RotoWire |
| Extra | Daily wheel for 7 days: deposit matches up to $200 (15x) or 500 Rewards Points | None |
| Estimated value | About $115 from spins, plus about $80 from the best wheel prize | About $220 |
| Offer ends | December 31, 2026 in PA; March 14, 2027 in MI, NJ and WV | November 22, 2026 |

The estimates come from our reviews' worked examples, which assume slots that pay back 96%; BetMGM's also uses Covers' figure of $0.20 per spin, which BetMGM's own terms don't confirm.

DraftKings' offer is cheaper to claim and simpler to keep, as long as you log in on all 20 days. BetMGM's has more moving parts: the best wheel prize needs a $200 deposit and $3,000 of play to clear. BetMGM does more for existing players, though: its September 2026 promotions included Refer-a-Friend ($100 each), a $50,000 monthly draw and an NFL 1,000,000 Bonus Spins Giveaway. Sources disagree on whether DraftKings' offer applies in Connecticut. [Casino bonuses explained](https://safebet.ai/us/online-casinos/casino-bonuses-explained/) shows how to value any offer.

## Payouts and banking

DraftKings Casino pays out faster and lets you withdraw less. BetMGM says every withdrawal first goes through an internal review that can take up to five business days; after approval, PayPal pays within 24 hours and Visa takes another 3–5 business days. Covers reports BetMGM approvals typically take two to three days, and the minimum withdrawal is $20.

At DraftKings, RotoWire reports debit withdrawals within 24 hours, Apple Pay in a day and PayPal or Venmo within two days, with a $1 minimum on most methods. Pokerfuse says most DraftKings requests are reviewed within two to three business days.

Deposits start at $10 at BetMGM and $5 at DraftKings. Both take PayPal, Play+, online banking and cash at a casino cage, and neither takes new credit cards: DraftKings stopped on August 25, 2025, according to RotoWire, and BetMGM's shared help center says no new credit cards can be added since March 31, 2026.

## Rewards

BetMGM Casino has the stronger loyalty program because its points work outside the casino. You start at BetMGM Rewards' Sapphire tier and earn up to 20 points per $100 wagered on slots, or up to 4 on live table games, with 10–40% bonus points at higher tiers. Points can buy bonuses, convert to MGM Rewards for hotel stays, dining and entertainment at 20+ MGM destinations, or be exchanged for Marriott Bonvoy points.

DraftKings' Dynasty Rewards, shared with Golden Nugget, pays Crowns for its Dynasty Store across five tiers, from Bronze to Onyx, with a VIP host at the top. At the rates Pokerfuse reports, regular slots earn 1 Crown per $2 and 550 Crowns convert to $1 in DK Dollars, so $1,100 of slot play earns about $1.

## Which should you choose?

Choose **BetMGM Casino** if you:

- want the widest choice of slots and exclusive progressive jackpots;
- stay or dine at MGM resorts, or collect Marriott Bonvoy points;
- want quick help: Action Network reports 24/7 chat replies in two to three minutes.

Choose **DraftKings Casino** if you:

- play in Connecticut, where BetMGM isn't licensed;
- want in-house games, live dealer tables or video poker;
- want a $5 start with no rollover on spin winnings;
- want quicker withdrawals and a $1 minimum on most methods.

Using both can make sense if you're 21 or older and in one of the four states they share, since each has exclusives the other doesn't. ## Frequently asked questions

### Is BetMGM or DraftKings Casino better?

BetMGM Casino ranks #1 in [our US online casino ranking](https://safebet.ai/us/online-casinos/) and DraftKings Casino #3. BetMGM is better for game choice and rewards you can use at MGM resorts; DraftKings is better for in-house exclusives and faster withdrawals, and it's the one to pick in Connecticut.

### Does BetMGM or DraftKings Casino have more games?

BetMGM Casino. By its own count it offers over 7,000 titles across North America and from 2,000 to more than 3,300 per state, against the roughly 2,000 to 2,500 that reviewers count at DraftKings. DraftKings makes more of its own games, though: in-house titles produced 36% of its casino handle in 2025.

### Which pays out faster, BetMGM or DraftKings Casino?

DraftKings Casino. BetMGM says every withdrawal first goes through an internal review of up to five business days, while RotoWire reports DraftKings debit withdrawals within 24 hours and PayPal or Venmo within two days. DraftKings' minimum withdrawal is $1 on most methods, against $20 at BetMGM.

### Which welcome bonus is better, BetMGM or DraftKings Casino?

We rate them equally. As of September 30, 2026, DraftKings' up to 1,000 Flex Spins need only $5 in wagers and carry no rollover on winnings, while BetMGM's 1,000 bonus spins need a $10 deposit and 10x wagering on winnings but come with a daily wheel of deposit matches up to $200.

### Is BetMGM or DraftKings Casino safer?

Both are licensed by the gaming regulator in every state they serve, and we rate them equally on licensing. BetMGM was fined $106,000 in New Jersey in June 2026 over self-exclusion and player-limit failures and $100,000 in Pennsylvania in March 2026 over identity-verification controls. DraftKings has no penalty in New Jersey's 2026 enforcement summaries posted so far, but it is defending federal lawsuits in New Jersey and Pennsylvania over past casino deposit-match promotions.

### Can I play BetMGM Casino in Connecticut?

No. BetMGM Casino is licensed only in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Connecticut's two licensed online casinos are [DraftKings Casino](https://safebet.ai/us/online-casinos/draftkings-casino-review/) and Mohegan Sun Casino, which FanDuel runs, and you must be 21 or older and physically in the state to play.
