MLB picks: frequently asked questions
What is the MLB run line?
The run line is baseball’s version of the point spread, almost always set at 1.5 runs. The favorite (-1.5) must win by at least 2 runs; the underdog (+1.5) covers if it wins, or loses by just 1. Our 2024 free picks include several run-line winners, like San Diego Padres -1.5 at +100.
What does a -2 run line mean, and what is a push?
With an alternative run line of -2, the team must win by 3 runs or more. If it wins by exactly 2, the bet is a push and your stake is returned — which is what happened with our New York Yankees -2 pick in April 2024.
How often are MLB picks sent?
Almost daily during the season. The AI selects the 3 best opportunities across all sports each day, and with up to 15 MLB games on a single day, baseball often makes the cut.
