What is BetMGM Casino?

BetMGM Casino is the online casino of BetMGM, LLC, a 50/50 joint venture of MGM Resorts International and Entain that was founded in 2018 and is based in Jersey City, New Jersey. It’s licensed in four states and ranks #1 in our ranking of the best online casinos in the US.

BetMGM says it held 20% of iGaming revenue in its active markets in the three months to June 2026 (a company figure that includes Ontario), and its iGaming net revenue rose 8% to $483 million in Q2 2026. In Michigan it took 25.3% of online casino gross receipts in 2025, second only to FanDuel Casino, based on the Michigan Gaming Control Board’s figures.

Is BetMGM Casino legal in the US?

Yes, in four states: Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. You must be 21 or older and physically in one of them, which the site checks by geolocation before you play.

BetMGM isn’t available in Connecticut, Delaware or Rhode Island, and Maine, which legalized online casinos in January 2026, hadn’t launched by September 30, 2026; see where online casinos are legal. BetMGM Casino games

BetMGM has one of the largest game libraries in the US: over 7,000 titles across North America, by its own count. Each state gets fewer, from over 2,000 games in West Virginia to more than 3,300 in New Jersey, according to BetMGM’s own pages, which don’t always agree.

• Progressive jackpots: BetMGM runs what it calls one of the largest state-by-state exclusive progressive jackpot networks, with 25+ games including MGM Grand Millions, Bison Fury and 15 Lanterns. It paid out $122.1 million in progressive jackpots in 2025, and a $0.10 jackpot side bet on 200+ games launched in Michigan in August 2026.
• Exclusives: Entain’s in-house studios supply exclusives, and recent exclusive or first-to-market titles include Rakin’ Bacon, The Traitors: Faithful Riches and a Game of Thrones slot.
• Table games and live dealer: blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps and video poker, plus live dealer games mainly from Evolution, including a private BetMGM studio in Michigan. Covers counted about 120 table games and 100 live tables.
• Other games: about 70 Slingo titles (per Action Network), arcade-style instant wins and, in New Jersey, live-streamed real slot machines through Awager.

BetMGM Casino bonus and promotions

At the time of writing (September 2026), BetMGM’s welcome offer in all four states is 1,000 bonus spins plus a daily Spin the Wheel for a first deposit of $10 or more. Key terms from BetMGM’s own pages:

• You get 100 bonus spins after your first deposit, then 100 more on each daily login for the next nine days, up to 1,000.
• Spins last 3 days after activation and work only on eligible games. Winnings are paid as casino bonus with a 10x wagering requirement, also valid for 3 days.
• You can spin the wheel once a day for 7 days. Prizes are a 25% deposit match up to $50, 50% up to $100, 100% up to $200, or 500 BetMGM Rewards Points. Deposit matches carry 15x wagering on the bonus amount.

Some review sites advertise “up to 1,700 spins” by counting extra spins on wheel-match deposits, but BetMGM’s terms cap the offer at 1,000 per player.

Worked example. Covers reports that each spin is worth $0.20 (we couldn’t confirm the value in BetMGM’s own terms), which puts the 1,000 spins at $200 face value. Assuming the eligible slots pay back 96% (a 4% house edge):

1. Expected spin winnings: 1,000 × $0.20 × 0.96 = $192, paid as bonus money.
2. Required wagering: 10 × $192 = $1,920.
3. Expected loss on that wagering: $1,920 × 4% = $76.80.
4. Estimated value: $192 − $76.80 ≈ $115, if you log in all 10 days and finish each batch’s wagering within 3 days.

The best wheel prize, a 100% match on a $200 deposit, needs 15 × $200 = $3,000 of play; at a 4% edge that costs about $120 on average, leaving roughly $80 of value. Our casino bonus guide and EV calculator show the method.

BetMGM Rewards

Everyone starts at BetMGM Rewards’ Sapphire tier and earns up to 20 points per $100 wagered on slots (up to 4 on live table games); higher tiers add 10–40% bonus points. Points can buy bonuses in the Rewards Store, convert to MGM Rewards for hotel stays, dining and entertainment at 20+ MGM destinations, or be exchanged for Marriott Bonvoy points. Deposits and withdrawals

Deposits start at $10 and are usually instant, by PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, online banking, VIP Preferred e-check, Play+, PayNearMe (cash at stores such as 7-Eleven), cash at MGM casino cages or Apple Pay in mobile Safari; Venmo and Discover vary by state. BetMGM’s shared help center says no new credit cards can be added since March 31, 2026.

Withdrawals are BetMGM’s weak spot. The minimum is $20, paid to a method you’ve deposited with in the past six months, and BetMGM says every request first goes through an internal review that “can take up to five business days” before the payment method’s own processing time:

App and experience

BetMGM Casino has its own app, separate from BetMGM’s sportsbook and poker apps. As of September 30, 2026, it was rated 4.7 out of 5 from 147,868 ratings on Apple’s App Store (it requires iOS 18 or later) and 4.4 from 42,794 ratings on Google Play.

Covers calls the app intuitive, though Action Network says browsing long category lists “can feel sluggish” and that the mobile browser version has fewer games than desktop.

Safety and customer support

BetMGM is licensed by the regulator in each of its states, so its games, promotions and player protections must meet state rules. Regulators have also fined it:

• New Jersey DGE, June 2026: a $106,000 civil penalty plus $51,789.31 disgorgement for violating self-exclusion rules and failing to honor wagering limits that players had set.
• Pennsylvania PGCB, March 25, 2026: $100,000 for weak identity-verification and anti-fraud controls on its BetMGM and Borgata platforms, which fraud rings used to open accounts in other people’s names.
• Pennsylvania PGCB, January 2025: $260,905 for 152 instances of self-excluded people gambling on its sites.

A 2022 data breach exposed customers’ names, contact details, dates of birth and hashed Social Security numbers; BetMGM said it had no evidence that passwords or funds were accessed.
