About our parlay calculator

Looking to maximize your betting strategy? Our parlay calculator is one of the most powerful free tools for bettors. Whether you’re building a two-leg parlay or stacking multiple selections into one big bet, it calculates your parlay odds, total payout and potential profit — instantly.

Unlike single bets, parlays combine multiple wagers into one, multiplying your odds and potential return. Enter your bet amount and the odds in American, decimal or fractional format, and the calculator handles the rest. It’s perfect for beginners and experienced bettors looking for a fast, reliable way to crunch the numbers.

How parlay odds are calculated

Parlay decimal odds = odds₁ × odds₂ × … × oddsₙ — each leg in decimal odds
Payout = stake × parlay decimal odds · Profit = payout − stake
Implied probability = 1 ÷ parlay decimal odds

Example: a $10.00 three-leg parlay at -110, +150, -200 → 1.91 × 2.50 × 1.50 = 7.16.

That’s +616 in American odds: a $71.59 payout, or $61.59 profit. The implied probability is 14.0% — about 1 in 7.2.

Advantages and risks of betting parlays

Parlays can be exciting and offer massive payout potential, but they also come with added risk. Before you build your next parlay, it’s important to understand both sides.

✅ Advantages of parlay betting

  • Higher payouts: combining multiple bets into one multiplies your odds, leading to much larger potential returns.
  • Lower initial risk: you can risk a small stake for a chance at a big payout.
  • More entertainment: parlays make watching multiple games more engaging.
  • Strategy-driven: smart bettors use parlays to combine favorable odds.

⚠️ Risks of parlay betting

  • Lower probability of winning: all legs must win for the bet to cash. One loss and the whole bet loses.
  • The margin compounds: the sportsbook’s margin is built into every leg, so it grows as you add legs.
  • Overconfidence: the big payout potential can lead to riskier, less strategic bets.
  • Higher variance: the reward is high, but so are the swings — a tougher path to consistent profit.

Parlays at SafeBet

SafeBet’s AI mainly generates single sports picks, because it finds those safer than parlays. On occasion it also issues a parlay — our 8 free weekly parlays in 2024 went 5–3. Use the parlay calculator to run the numbers before you place your bet. Stay smart, and always bet responsibly.

FAQ

Parlay betting FAQ

How are parlay odds calculated?

Convert each leg to decimal odds and multiply them together. The payout is your stake × the combined decimal odds; the profit is the payout minus your stake.

What happens if a parlay leg pushes?

At most sportsbooks a pushed or voided leg is removed and the parlay pays out on the remaining legs. Mark the leg as “Push / void” in the calculator to see the new payout.

Are parlays a good bet?

They pay big but are hard to hit: every leg must win, and the sportsbook’s margin compounds with every leg you add. Singles are usually the better long-term play — SafeBet mostly issues single picks and only sends parlays when the AI sees value.

How many legs can a parlay have?

That depends on the sportsbook — often somewhere between 10 and 25 legs. This calculator supports up to 12 legs.

Can I combine different sports in one parlay?

Yes. Most sportsbooks let you combine legs from different sports in one parlay, and the math stays exactly the same.
