BetMGM Casino vs Caesars Palace Online Casino: the key differences
BetMGM Casino is #1 in our ranking of the best US online casinos and Caesars Palace Online Casino is #5. They’re the only two in our top five whose loyalty points work at resorts, and both are licensed in the same four states: Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The differences:
- Games: BetMGM offers over 7,000 titles across North America and 2,000 to 3,300+ per state; Caesars Palace Online has roughly 1,000 to 2,000.
- Welcome offer: BetMGM gives up to 1,000 bonus spins for a $10 deposit. Review sites report a $10 no-deposit credit at Caesars plus a 100% match up to $1,000 at 15x on slots within 7 days (September 2026).
- Payouts: reviewers report Caesars e-wallet payouts from within an hour to 48 hours, while BetMGM’s internal review alone can take up to five business days.
- Track record: New Jersey fined BetMGM $106,000 in June 2026 and penalized “Caesars Sportsbook” $251,250 in August 2026, without saying whether Caesars’ casino was involved. Caesars is also being sold to Fertitta Entertainment, pending FTC and gaming approvals.
You must be 21 or older and physically in one of those four states, which geolocation checks before you play. Neither casino is available in Connecticut, Delaware or Rhode Island, and you shouldn’t use a VPN to get around the check. Caesars has deals to launch in Maine, but Maine’s rules were still in draft as of September 30, 2026; see where online casinos are legal.
Games
BetMGM Casino has the much bigger library. It says it offers over 7,000 titles across North America, from over 2,000 in West Virginia to more than 3,300 in New Jersey, by its own pages. Its 25+ exclusive progressive jackpots include MGM Grand Millions and Bison Fury, and it paid out $122.1 million in progressive jackpots in 2025.
Caesars Palace Online has roughly 1,000 to 2,000 games, depending on the source. SportsLine lists 1,900+ slots, 80+ table games and 50+ live dealer games but still calls the library smaller than BetMGM’s, and says fewer Caesars games offer progressive jackpots than competitors’ do. Caesars’ strength is its own content: Ca$hline, the first online slot from its in-house studio Empire Creative; Signature Blackjack, Signature American Roulette and Signature Baccarat; and a Caesars-branded Evolution live studio in Philadelphia.
Bonuses
Caesars’ welcome package is bigger on paper, but BetMGM’s is easier to get value from. As of September 30, 2026, with Caesars’ terms taken from review sites:
The estimates come from our reviews’ worked examples at a 96% slot return; BetMGM’s assumes Covers’ $0.20 spin value, and Caesars’ assumes the 15x applies to the bonus alone.
Caesars’ match pays off only if you play a lot, fast: the full $1,000 needs at least $15,000 of slot play within 7 days, over $2,100 a day, and in New Jersey it counts on slots only. On blackjack, 75x means $75,000 of play, and at a table paying 6:5 the bonus becomes an expected loss. BetMGM’s spins need only a $10 deposit and daily logins. Caesars’ $10 credit, which SportsLine calls rare, is worth about $9.60 and lets you try the casino before you deposit.
Existing players get more at BetMGM, whose September 2026 promotions included Refer-a-Friend ($100 each) and a $50,000 monthly draw; Covers calls Caesars’ ongoing promotions limited. Casino bonuses explained shows how to value a deposit match.
Rewards
Rewards are the closest contest: both programs turn online play into resort perks, and their slot earn rates match on paper.
Caesars’ earn rates are SportsLine’s. Since points and credits are spent in different programs, pick the one whose hotels and restaurants you’ll actually use. Caesars credits stay active as long as you earn at least one every six months.
Payouts and banking
Caesars Palace Online pays out faster, according to reviewers. VegasInsider reports PayPal, Venmo and Play+ withdrawals often arriving within an hour, Covers says within 24 hours and SportsLine within 48; Caesars’ Michigan terms allow up to 72 hours of internal processing. Its minimum withdrawal couldn’t be confirmed.
BetMGM says every withdrawal first goes through an internal review that can take up to five business days; after approval, PayPal pays within 24 hours and Visa takes another 3–5 business days. The minimum withdrawal is $20.
Both have a $10 minimum deposit and take PayPal, Play+, PayNearMe and cash at their own casino cages.
